Rony Hirschhorn

Ph.D. Candidate
Sagol School of Neuroscience @ Tel-Aviv University

Rony completed a neuroscience B.Sc. double-majoring in computer science and psychology (where she received the Schulich Leadership Scholarship), and a computational neuroscience M.Sc., both in the Sagol School of Neuroscience. Now a PhD candidate in the Sagol School of Neuroscience, supervised by Prof Liad Mudrik, Rony aims to study the richness of conscious and unconscious perception using methods and setups that are relevant to real-life experience. For that aim, she crafts experiments using cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality (VR). In the COGITATE consortium, Rony is part of the data-monitoring team, where she monitors the projects' data-sharing process and analyzes behavioral and eye-tracking data. In addition, she is an avid supporter of open science, and as such, she is one of the project's git administrators.

Rony is interested in the richness of conscious perception, and in the extent of unconscious processing. She likes music festivals and playing the piano.
